End of the Season Recap

With the conclusion of the EU LCQ, Ireland's involvement in RLCS 2026 comes to an end. A remarkable season where the depth in Irish Rocket League has completely exploded with multiple players both old and new achieving career best results and some even breaking new ground for how good Irish players can potentially be in Europe.

On a personal note, I would like to once again thank the RLI Staff Team for allowing me to do these so prominently, even now getting these posted on the RLI website. My gratitude also extends to you guys, the community that has created a genuine sense of buzz and excitement with the lads' RLCS runs that to be honest, is one of the few things that can consistently unite this community.

I don't know what the future holds regarding the RLCS, but I do know the future of Irish Rocket League is the brightest its ever been, and that there is serious momentum and opportunity here for us to become something big relative to our our small size. We already have a seat at the table, so why not more?

Day 2 of the LCQ Playoffs will take place <t:1785081600:F>. It is a 6 team single elimination bracket, where the winning team will qualify for the RLCS World Championship. All matches will be streamed on the official Rocket League channel.

Days 1 and 2 of RLCS quals are a giant double elimination bracket. For this open, the top 256 teams will advance to day 2 (128 through uppers, 128 through lowers). Then on day 2, the top 256 teams will be narrowed down to 32 for day 3's Swiss bracket. There is no prize money or titles for the LCQ, the only prize is the overall 1st place team qualifies for the World Championship in September.

I will return for recaps of RLCS 2v2 and 1v1 qualifiers which take place in June/July, and potentially the World Championship Last Chance Qualifier in July/August (which is not yet confirmed for EU) but until then, thanks to everyone for all the support and enthusiasm with these recaps, it has 100% been worth my time this season with all the stellar qualification runs from various players this year. Seeing all the hype, excitement and general chatter about everyone's runs has been a ton of fun.

All in all, many great runs this qualifier, a lot of players mentioned today have achieved career best or near career best results in what is across the board, one of the strongest performances from the Irish scene I have seen in recent memory.

There won't be a post from me but next Friday at 4PM, WYLDE will be in action in the GSL Group Stage. Groups and streams and whatnot to be announced in the coming days.

Days 1 and 2 of RLCS quals are a giant double elimination bracket. For this open, the top 192 teams will advance to day 2 (64 through uppers, 128 through lowers). Then on day 2, the top 192 teams will be narrowed down to 24 for day 3's Swiss bracket where the top 8 seeds will join them. Prize Money awarded for Top 128 (technically top 136) Teams.
